How do you fix a loose, wobbly kitchen cabinet door hinge that drops down?

One of my wooden kitchen cabinet doors is hanging crooked because the upper metal hinge screws keep slipping out of their mounting holes. How do I tighten them?

Remove the hinge plate completely, fill the loose stripped screw holes with wood filler or wooden matchsticks dipped in glue, let dry, then redrive the hinge mounting screw.
