Is it bad to eat eggs every day?

I eat 3-4 eggs every morning for breakfast. I've been doing this for about 2 years. My friend told me that eating that many eggs will destroy my liver and give me heart disease because of the cholesterol. But I've also read that eggs are super healthy. I'm confused. Should I stop?

Your friend is wrong, and this myth needs to die. Here's what the actual science says in 2024:

Eggs are incredibly healthy. They're one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet—high-quality protein, choline (great for your brain), vitamin D, B12, and selenium.

The cholesterol myth was debunked years ago. For 70% of people, dietary cholesterol has almost NO impact on blood cholesterol. Your liver produces most of your cholesterol—what you eat matters very little. The American Heart Association removed the strict egg limit in 2020.

Eating 3-4 eggs daily is perfectly fine for healthy people. Studies show it doesn't increase heart disease risk in the general population.

The only exception: If you have diabetes or a specific genetic condition (like familial hypercholesterolemia), talk to your doctor. For everyone else, keep eating your eggs.

Best way to eat them: Scrambled or boiled (not fried in butter every time). Pair with veggies for a complete breakfast.

Stop listening to your friend. Listen to the science.
