My Amazon FBA business isn't making any money
I started selling on Amazon FBA 6 months ago. I've sold about 200 units but after fees, shipping, and product costs I'm barely breaking even. I thought this was supposed to be passive income. Am I doing something wrong or should I just quit?

Six months in and barely breaking even is actually pretty normal for FBA — most sellers don't profit until month 9-12. But let's find out why you're stuck. First, run your numbers in Amazon's FBA calculator with your ACTUAL costs (include Amazon referral fees, FBA fees, shipping to Amazon, product cost, and any PPC ad spend). Many sellers underestimate fees by 15-20%. Second, check your pricing — are you competitive? If you're priced higher than similar products without a clear reason (better quality, bundle, brand), you won't convert. Third, look at your listing quality — do you have 5+ high-res images, A+ content, backend keywords? Fourth, are you running PPC? If you're not, you won't get visibility. If you are, check your ACOS (Ad Cost of Sale) — it should be under 25-30% to be profitable. Fifth, have you gotten any reviews? Products with less than 10 reviews struggle. If you're breaking even, you're not losing money. That's actually ahead of many beginners. Optimize your listing, adjust pricing, and give it 3 more months before deciding to quit.
