Why am I always tired even after sleeping 8 hours?
I get a full 8 hours of sleep every night but I'm exhausted by 2pm every single day. I drink coffee like it's water but it barely helps. I eat pretty healthy and exercise a few times a week. What else could be causing this?

Getting 8 hours doesn't guarantee quality sleep, and this is where most people get stuck. First, are you actually getting 8 hours of deep sleep or just lying there? If you wake up multiple times, have sleep apnea, or your sleep is fragmented, 8 hours in bed equals maybe 5 hours of real rest. Get a sleep tracker or ask your doctor about a sleep study. Second, check your iron and vitamin D levels — deficiencies in either cause chronic fatigue that coffee can't fix. Third, look at your diet timing — eating a heavy meal right before bed destroys sleep quality even if you don't realize it. Try eating your last meal 3 hours before bed. Fourth, are you exercising too late? A workout within 2 hours of bed can make you tired during the day because your body is still recovering. Move exercise to mornings. Finally, consider if you're dehydrated — most people are chronically dehydrated and that alone causes fatigue. Aim for half your body weight in ounces of water daily.
