Why is my AirPods Pro sound quality so bad?

I bought AirPods Pro 2 last month and the sound sounds muddy, especially the bass. I've tried different tips but it doesn't help. My friend has the same ones and says they sound amazing. Am I doing something wrong?

First, make sure you have a proper seal — the AirPods Pro rely on passive noise isolation for bass, so if the tips don't fit your ears perfectly, you'll lose all the low end. Try all 4 tip sizes (S/M/L + the one that came with them). Most people wear the wrong size without realizing it. Second, go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual > Headphone Accommodations and turn on "Custom Audio Profile." Run the hearing test — it creates a personalized EQ that can dramatically improve sound. Third, check if you're in Transparency mode by accident (the little microphone icon on the stem). That mode purposely reduces bass. Fourth, reset your AirPods: put them in the case, hold the button for 15 seconds until the light flashes amber, then white. This fixes weird audio bugs. If none of this works, your unit might be defective — Apple will replace them under warranty, no questions asked.
